I bought an AMD Athlon X2 5200 processor to upgrade my computer from its original AMD Athlon 64 3500+ / 2.2 GHz, and went to install it tonight but the computer won't boot up afterwards. All I get is a single continuously repeating beep, several seconds apart with nothing else happening. I've confirmed the installation procedure and I used an anti-static strap during the entire procedure. I've put the original processor back in and the computer works fine. Any ideas?
