As of now, all the links on the first two pages lead to either links to the Register article or verbatim quotes of it. IE is not very good, but this appears to be single-sourced. Until there is confirmation from somewhere else, it's unconfirmed (and, frankly, rather dubious). The "E! reader" is unidentified, and they don't appear to have made any attempt to verify the story. Please don't quote me as saying that the story is false. I don't know whether it is or is not.
