Resodding the mall (wrecked by the wonderful outpouring of support for
the inauguration) may well be a worthwhile expenditure for congress, but
not in an emergency economic and job stimulation package. Several
analysts predict the Senate will take a lot of the lights of this
Christmas tree of special interests.
(I agree with you on the jet, but lets not forget that more from the
right side of the aisle voted against the big bank bailout last year
(yes, it was Bush's idea.) than the left side.)
