Yes that is quite a story, but I don't know. The reporter may be a bit too innocent to be covering this story. A script on one server is not going to whipe out 4000 servers. Yes it would have created a mess, just not as big a mess as indicated. Last I heard details of their servers group there it was well managed. The fact that they had somebody else reviewing the programmer's work shows that. But they should have done it sooner.
