Two system builders I know of online.
MWave and Newegg.
(I am not sure Newegg does it)
Mwave used to build boxes and sell them as barebones units.
It has just gotten cheaper to sell other vendors boxes though.
One place to look for reviews is indeed Newegg. All their stuff have
reviews on it so you can see what you are getting.
A place that used to do hardware independent reviews was Tom's
hardware. Not sure of their web site or if they still do this.
