That's really pretty difficult to do for a Windows component. When I try it, I can only find an old update, which should have been installed automatically in 2007. And there's no listing in Add-Remove Programs.
I'm afraid we may be stuck and just have to get used to WMP not working. PS I do NOT appreciate all the side discussions. This used to be a list where you could ask a computer question and get an answer. Now every question triggers long absurd political rants.
