Use of OpenDNS is also recommended as a Conficker preventive. http://www.opendns.com/ Nameservers are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. If you register/open an account [free] they analyze your traffic and will report traffic that gives evidence that you may be infected with Conficker.
