Did you reboot?
Mac is the platform, I rebooted. I found the folders with the song
files in them and just dragged them to iTune screen.
Seems to work, except that I don't have the playlists.
The iTunes library should be at the root of your music folder. I
think. By default, it is on Windows. However you may have over written
it. Look in that folder for a file called something like previous
iTunes library. If you have one maybe you can rename them all and see
if your playlists reappear.
