When I got sikka payin' at&t through the nose for LD and Verizon for local pots, I cut the wires and looked elsewhere ...magicjack and others fell out as they need the pootah on all the time ...I got www.phonepower.com which had 10% off at the time so I ponied up for $199 for a year ...they threw in a second year for free ...the modem was free septin4 the $14 s/h (d'oh!!). You also get a "cloned line" which lets your other fone call out while you are on the line and second line rings when 1st is occupied even though there's only 1 line ...reception is clear as a bell (not Verizon) and 1.4cents/min lets me call my family in Europe cheaply. I am happy with it...if you mention me (email me about it) we BOTH get a discount for it. I like it.
