According to Slashdot's article here <http://yro.slashdot.org/story/09/06/21/2359255/SSN-Required-To-Buy-Palm -Pre> you cannot open a Sprint account and buy a Palm Pre without telling Sprint your Social Security number (ostensibly so they can run a credit check).
Anybody willing to do that for a mobile phone or is that a deal killer?
