Rev..
I have 6 clients who use Mozy for backup, from 15gigs to 60gigs and
each evening they are backed up. It does take a bit of time
initially but it has been very reasonable for their business. They
have an option to restore by providing you DVD's of your data
that you pay something like $0.50 per gig to have them provide.
Your upload BPS rating is the choke point with all over the internet
backup schemas..
I have had a couple of instances where someone in their office
deleted all the files in their shared server directory and I was able
to restore it in about 15 minutes. I was home on my laptop. I used
VNC via Hamachi to their server and selected the directory and told
Mozy to restore it. Worked and they were impressed. All this while
I was eating my lunch.
I had a client that used Carbonite but it was a TSR program on their
computer which had problems and they gave it up. Mozy runs as a
process on their server and I can schedule when it backs up to the
Mozy servers.
Just works and worth it to my clients.
They do have a free 2gig for home use..

I am looking at the online backup programs.
Which ones do you folks prefer Carbonite or Mozy?
Carboinite is 55 a year and Mozy has a home unlimited but I do not
think they would like my over 100GB work files done this way. Their
monthly amount is much higher than carbonite.
What experiences have you had with them?
