What he means is:
Leopard (10.5.X) will run on a Power PC (867MHz+ G4 or higher) or Intel Mac
Snow Leopard (10.6.X) will only run on an Intel Mac (1GHz min.)
I understand your confusion on the semantics and cat names, though. ; )
