Well, I may not understand your problem, but I just sent an email from my gmail account to my gmail account and it came through with no problem. I frequently do this for web links/info that I want to be available on different computers.
I also have a group that I email to from my gmail account and include my gmail address in that group and the emails always come through. What am I missing?
