Just got a Mac Mini and realized I don't have a USB keyboard to jack into it. Other than it being a nice keyboard, is there something about a Mac keyboard that's worth the $35 or so premium? If I run Parallels, should I expect any problems with Windoze (probably Win7)?
The Mac low-profile aluminum is wonderful. We have 4 or 5 PC keyboards around and they all go clickety plinkety plink--too loud, not good to the touch, and they break easily [OEMs]. The Mac aluminum keyboard has a soft but firm touch--quiet, too. Only issue is that it can't be opened for cleaning, but I guess you could put it in the dishwasher. I have a silicone skin for the keyboard for when I spill something on it [again].
The white/clear keyboards were cheaply made. I broke two of them without even trying, but the two black keyboards [one generation earlier] still work fine, as do the original iMac keyboards.
I have no problem running Windows with an emulator. Keyboards have Control keys. Option is Alt key[s]. Windows key???? Assign the Command key??
