It should work fine. I have migrated to larger HD's in laptops and if you use a good clone program it is plug and play.

Just did one this weekend.  80 GB - 320 GB.

Thanks. I've got a 250G Western Digital on order from NewEgg. If that
doesn't work out, I'll stuff it in the enclosure that I've also got on
