Where does a robot engender fear and aprehension? Droid is a play on google's OS name, not motorola's. I'm not sure it's even so much political philosophy as maybe I read sci fi like candy when I was a kid. When I hear robot, like droid...I think Giskard or Daneel from Asimov.
