But they did email better than anyone else for a time, that was enough because that's what customers wanted. Now RIM is getting in trouble for the reasons you list here. I had a BB pearl for a time, it was a fine phone for sms and using as a *gasp* phone...more than that, not so good, but at the time that's all I wanted.
