Stewart, they are making a ton of money. Nothing to fret about in
that regard. When the ground troops for the Hollywood moguls come to
Washington to cry about their terrible losses due to pirating, they
always come in their private corporate jets and take limos to the
Hill.

The reason that they crank out schlock is because, for the most
part, moviegoers will readily consume that schlock. As I have been
saying in another thread, real quality, up and down the line, is not a
priority with most consumers. They wanna go see what "everybody else"
is going to see just like they wanna buy what "everybody else" is
buying. That is called being cool, fitting in and being up to speed
on what is in vogue. Additionally, it has been amply demonstrated
that the primary reason a given movie comes in first at the box
office, a factor purely predicated upon ticket sale dollar amounts, is
if it is the most heavily advertised movie on television.
