I do something similar. I have a rule for making passwords. This makes
them all different, but I can figure them out.
I guess if somebody got hold of a bunch of my passwords they could
figure out the rule, but if they already have a bunch of my passwords
I guess I'l lost already.
For anything financial or attached to a credit card I use better
passwords and I keep this list on paper. It is a short list.
