The Alienware computers are considered top of the line gaming laptops.
The Inspiron is the entry level consumer laptop.
Next comes their Studio line and at the top is the Alienware (who
they bought by the way.)
In the business end is the Vostro and the Latitude.

Maybe I am expecting to get a laptop too cheaply. I looked at the
Alienware laptops on the Dell site and they are as expensive as the
Mac. Cheapest is $1200 going up to $1800.
