What does anyone know about Adobe Digital Editions? I was thinking of trying it on my Mac, but did not install it when I saw that it downloads and installs from the web. I like to be the one to install/uninstall programs on my computer. If I install it will I have problems uninstalling it? Is it worth the trouble or should I avoid it? I was going to use it to read ebooks from PROJECT GUTENBERG. Should I just go with the old plain text or HTML instead?
Thanks,

It is an application written in Adobe AIR. To run it you will have to install all the AIR stuff and that will not be easy to uninstall. AIR is Adobe's system for taking Flash and turning it into something that looks like a stand alone application. It is rather clunky and has an unfortunate user interface. Take a look at it to get a good idea of why Steve Jobs is blocking Flash on iPhones.
