As I told you, this remote isn't working ok currently -it will not complete a firmware install and I miss a battery currently to make more testing, so take everything with a pinch of salt.
I can start the remote in safe mode and it will be recognized by logitech software on windows. In linux, it will appear on lsusb and Network Manager will inform of a new wired ethernet device called usb0, but "sudo concordance -i -v" says ERROR: Couldn't initializing libconcord: Error connecting or finding the remote .
