There is currently lots of progress being made in the linux-ntfs
project, and we are once again moving one step closer to a full
implementation of a read/write ntfs driver for linux.
On 07/14/2006, Project Member Szabolcs Szakacsits presented a new
version of our ntfsmount
<http://wiki.linux-ntfs.org/doku.php?id=ntfsmount> and libntfs
<http://wiki.linux-ntfs.org/doku.php?id=libntfs>, currently given the
project internal title *ntfs-3g*. This version has, apart from several
rather unlikely cases, full read/write capabilities and has improved
performance. As news spreads quickly, it has already been downloaded and
tested by many users, and no incident has been reported so far. Despite
of that *it is still to be considered beta, and will upon successful
testing* (in some way or the other) *merge into the linux-ntfs ntfsprogs
<http://wiki.linux-ntfs.org/doku.php?id=ntfsprogs> package*. The beta
version of the ntfs-3g driver can be downloaded from
http://mlf.linux.rulez.org/mlf/ezaz/ntfs-3g-20070822-BETA.tgz
<http://mlf.linux.rulez.org/mlf/ezaz/ntfs-3g-20070822-BETA.tgz>

*New version updated on 08/22/06.*

*Please Note:* This beta version should currently be used for testing
purposes only, we will release stable packages as soon as possible.

*Also Note:* if you use versions prior to (20070808), upgrade or be sure
to unmount cleanly.

* Le logiciel commercial Paragon.
Gain full read-write access to NTFS under Linux!
Paragon NTFS for Linux driver is the unmatched solution based on the
unique Paragon Technology, development expertise and in-depth industry

Linux that solves a real communication problem based on difference
between Windows and Linux file systems. Overcoming incompatibility of
these two opposing operating systems, Paragon NTFS for Linux provides
full transparency, high-performance and stability on various platforms
and Linux cores being highly adjustable and productive.
