Hi Giorgio,
I have been using conkeror in the last week, with great satisfaction. It is
going to become my primary browser in my primary wm (ratpoison).
However, I have two questions for which I am actually unable to find an
answer elsewhere.
1) incremental search works well, but I am unable to repeat it. In emacs, id
I do C-s, I stopthe search and I find that this is not the occurrence I was
looking for, I can look for the next occurrence with anothere C-s. Is it
possible to do the same in conkeror?
If you press C-s and the occurence is not the one you're after, you
can press C-s again and the cursor will be positioned to the next
occurence. However, if you press C-s and then press some other keys,
the next time you press C-s the search will start from the beginning
of the page again.
2) is there a specific reason why in gmail links are not numbered at all? I
read somewhere that gmail does not use real 'links', bu I do not understand
what this exactly means. Is there any plan to support these anomalous gmail
pseudolinks?
If you use the "basic HTML" option inside of gmail, then you can have
numbered links. This question has been asked a number of times on the
conkeror mailing list. You may find the hints and tips that I
accumulated from the mailing list (and other places) useful. They are
here:
