Using HEAD on OS X 10.5.8
Go to http://emacsformacosx.com/
Click the big Download button ("f" to follow doesn't work, but that's
not the bug I'm reporting), and DO NOT start typing immediately.
Watch as the minibuffer *loses focus* (that's the first sign of the
bug).
Click to focus into the minibuffer.
Type "s" to save... but no!
Go to some other buffer. The two mode/message lines stacked on top of
the ordinary mode/message line *do not disappear*.
