Problem solved!

dnorman...@select-man:~$ conkeror
hello

I went into `about:config' and set conkeror.rcfile to the FQ Path. So
your  previous suggestion about including

dumpln("hello")

in .conkerorrc worked.

Good point to know - it's un-documented though! or I missed it...

I'm not brand new to *nix - I've been using FreeBSD for 15 years. ;)
I'm just new to Linux AND the differences between each distro. So
there's no problem manually installing anything - I just need to get
clued in on how Linux/Debian does it.
