I think that the original maintainer thought it had to
reside in /usr/share/conkeror/. Per hier(7), /usr/share is
only for "application data, that can be shared among
different architectures of the same OS," so a compiled
binary is likely to be a violation of that.

I was the former maintainer, and I included the binary, but
it always has been a thorn in my eye. Thanks to Ivy, who
figured out the solution, it is no longer.

BTW the packaging philosophy not to have architecture dependent
files under /usr/share is from FHS[1]. Arch developers try to follow
given standards where they can.
