Today's Washington Post has an article about the internecine judicial warfare on the Sixth Circuit. We are presently in or fast approaching the beginning of a "World War," or so it seems to me, concerning American appellate courts, including, of course, the Supreme Court. This is, or should be, deeply disturbing. I know there's been considerable discussion about the battle between President Bush and the Senate Democrats, and I hope the following queries do not cover old ground. But, isn't it time for a  cease-fire? Is a cease-fire possible?  If so, what would one look like?
