Yvette Barksdale writes, in part: "For example, the record indicated that 70% of Hispanics attend segregated schools."
That is an astounding claim. Segregated schools are illegal and unconstitutional. Are there really that many local school officials who, like Bull Connor, still run segregated schools? Or do you, as I suspect, mean by that statement that 70% of Hispanics attends schools where the percentage of hispanic students enrolled is greater than some proportion that is perceived to be proper?
