Jihads, of course, come in differents stripes. One might argue that the language in Romer about the "animus" of some Coloradans, as well as the Lawrence majority's language about an "emerging awareness" over privacy matters represents an arrogance and condescension against which Scalia's admitted nastiness has at least the merit of honesty.
