Last Thursday or Friday, the House added two riders to the Justice Department
appropriations bill barring the expenditure of any allocated funds to enforce the
decisions in Glassroth v. Moore(the Alabama Supreme Court Ten Commandments case) and
Newdow(the Pledge case).Does anyone think these riders are within Congress' spending
power, if they prevent teh US Marshal Service from compelling obedience to a binding
judicial order?
