Help! I've asked this question before, but circumstances force me to ask it again. I need a book (or collection of articles) taking a "conservative" stance on such issues as Bush v. Gore, the electoral collecge, the two-party system, campaign finances, considering race in redistricting, democracy and education, demomcracy and corporations, and the flag. These are the issues Jamin Raskin discusses in his Overruling Democracy. I use his book in a seminar called "Crises in American Democracy." I desparately need a conservative counterpoint to Raskin's approach. The book must (should ?) be written after 1992, say. Please don't ask me to define "'conservative,"' just use your intuitive understanding of the term. Off-list replies are welcome. Because I'm experiencing devastating computer problems, I will not be able to thank those generous enough to respond for another ten days (when my new computer arrives). Please excuse any infelicities of style, grammar, or spelling in this post, at least any more than usual. I have no spell check on this computer. Thanks in advance.
