Resolution: Fixed
I fixed this by removing the useless line. Backwards compatibility is
important here because this code is used to parse lists of seed URLs, for web
and rss connectors, and we don't want something magically to be done
differently at this point.
In the longer run, it might make sense to do a trim, but probably within each
connector instead.
