Do I understand it correctly that the connector as it stands in the release-0.4 branch does not actually index the binary content at all? If so I think that is serious enough to spin an RC2 for.
The problem with adding a new feature at the same time is that there's a risk it will introduce yet another bug. If the feature is really straightforward and low-risk maybe we can do it, but if it is more complicated I think we'd want to check in only the fix into the release branch, and open a specific ticket for it too.
