So, right, I'm using the Ath5k chip. No, the daemon doesn't seem to crash, it just quits for no apparent reason. If I start the daemon manually, by looking at the log it scans for wifi networks and then exits. I'm attaching the log files so you can see for yourself. I use a broadcast ssid and WPA-Personnal security. Thank you, Marc
