Hi,
In the past there has been some problems getting tethering to work with
Linux 3.5 and 3.6 kernels and certain WiFi drivers. The Linux kernel
patch 6caab7b0544e83e6c160b5e80f5a4a7dd69545c7 will fix the issue, and
the patch has already been applied for all stable kernels 3.0.x, 3.2.x,
3.4.x, and 3.8.x [1].
