It sounds much simpler to set up gadget ethernet connections than
dealing with PPPD. I haven't heard of anyone successfully using PPPD
with ConnMan, no information has reached this mailing list so far.
ConnMan can use gadget ethernet by enabling IP tethering for it. If the
gadget ethernet is detected properly, it will be exposed as a 'gadget'
technology via the Technology API. Both the gadget technology and
tethering need to be enabled, whereafter ConnMan will set up a DHCP
server on a bridge device containing the gadget ethernet interface.
Tethering will work regardless if an uplink connection exists or not, it
will bridge together all technologies that have tethering enabled. A few
bugs regarding gadget technology have been fixed in 1.17, be sure to use
at least that version.
Cheers,
Patrik
