If someone needs such an API, please present first a really compelling
use case supporting it. As said before, I haven't still figured out any
need for such an API, see the previous discussion on this ml on the

It's very simple. Print out the whole 'Modified' line from the saved
service settings file concatenated with the directory of the settings.
Sort the lines, reversed if needed, and pipe it all to 'head' or 'tail'
depending on what is wanted. Then perform whatever action on the result.
I have yet to find the example script I wrote a long time ago...
