GLib does not need to be updated. Last time I checked glib >= 2.28
worked fine. What is the version of glib we are talking about? What is
the refusal about?

After some amount of debugging seems to work fine on latest
upstream/1.29. AllowedBearers shows the service as '[ ethernet ]' or
'[ ethernet, wifi ]' depending on the .policy file.
