Conference "All Depends Upon the Brave: Recent Research into Museum Collections of Ottoman, Middle Eastern and Asian Arms and Armour" The Wallace Collection London 30th September -1st October 2016
We are excited to announce that early this autumn the Wallace Collection will be hosting its inaugural conference in the new annual series sponsored by the Monument Trust, exploring some of the most recent research into both our own collection of Ottoman, Middle Eastern and Asian Arms and Armour, and other similar collections around the world. The conference will take place on 30 September and 1 October (Friday and Saturday) and will include papers presented by curators, conservators and independent specialists working on our new catalogue of this area of the collection as well as representatives from the Royal Collection, the Royal Armouries, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. £40, £25 concession for both days; £25, £10 concession for one day.
