I am a student, working towards the completion of my MA in Preventive Conservation with Northumbria University. As part of my course, I am researching the effects of visitation in museums and historic houses, such as the risks of visitors damaging objects by touching/handling them as well as looking into instances of petty vandalism, and most importantly how to avoid such undesirable interaction between visitors and exhibits.
To that purpose I am conducting a short survey on how to protect objects on open display and I would be grateful if you could participate.
