STASH FLASH at the 2017 AIC ANNUAL CONFERENCE

This year’s conference theme addresses treatment and collections care programs
that are designed to prolong the lifetime of cultural property. Storage and
support solutions sometimes avert the need for intervention, or enhance a
complex treatment. The fourth annual STASH Flash session on storage solutions
for all collection types has been scheduled as an afternoon pre-session to the
AIC annual meeting Monday, May 29. The program will utilize a lightening round
or “Tips” format as well as guided, audience participatory discussion. We are
calling for contributions of short (5 minute) tips on the following themes:

Storage mounts that were specifically designed to eliminate the need for
treatment or complement an interventive treatments
Support systems that can be easily mass produced to deal with collection-wide
storage challenges.
Multi-function supports, with functions serving more than one purpose, such as
storage, travel and/or exhibition purposes.
Innovative storage solutions for individual or collection groups that do not
conform to either theme will be accepted time permitting

Presenters will be asked to show up with their solution in a ready format for
uploading to the STASH website (www.STASHc.com <http://www.stashc.com/>) after
the conference.
