Our vision is to champion art and its value to society. We do this through 
activities in our four galleries across the UK Tate Liverpool, Tate St Ives, 
Tate Britain and Tate Modern), our digital platforms and collaborations with 
our national and international partners. At the heart of Tate is our collection 
of art, which includes British art from the 16th century to the present day, 
and international modern art from 1900 to the present day.



We are seeking an experienced frames conservator to work part-time within our 
Paintings, Frames and Workshop Conservation team. You will support Displays and 
Exhibitions at Tate Modern and Tate Britain and for the UK and International 
Loans Programme. Day-to-day, you will concentrate on assessing, preparing and 
treating frames within the Collection and in Tate's care, as well as support 
all related programme activity.



You will hold a recognised qualification in Conservation with demonstrable 
practical experience treating, assessing and installing frames within a museum 
environment. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem 
solving skills, be skilled at planning and organisation and have the ability to 
communicate with stakeholders both within and outside of Tate. You will need to 
be able to work independently on conservation treatments and provide specialist 
advice for storage, transport, handling and installation of frames.



This post is offered on a fixed term contract of 9 months.



Salary: £18,306 per annum (ie pro rata to £30,510 per annum.
