Margaret (Peggy) Holben Ellis has announced that she will be stepping down as Director of the Thaw Conservation Center, Morgan Library & Museum, effective January 30, 2017. It was Eugene V. Thaw’s vision that the Morgan should have a state-of-the-art facility and program for the conservation of its collections. Peggy was instrumental in creating the facilities and programs of the Center from its very beginning in 1998. Since opening in 2002, the Center has become known internationally as a leader in conservation treatment, preservation strategies, education, and research. She will continue her technical research as her time allows.
