In an effort to predict colour changes on a wooden sculpture, I am seeking
information on the effects of unfiltered daylight on yellow cedar, a common
medium used by indigenous Northwest Coast sculptors. Microfade testing cannot
help in this case, unfortunately, since the equipment available to me does not
include UV. Does anyone know whether this wood darkens, lightens, lightens then
darkens, or vice versa? I would like to digitally alter photos of the sculpture
to show the effects of photodegradation in order to help the artist and curator
decide whether the changes are acceptable.

Thank you in advance for your help!
