I would like to know if some textile conservator has worked on silk portrait of sailing ship, by the New York's artist Thomas Willis (1850-1925). I am working on one from the Maritime Museum in Camogli, Italy; someone knows if there are Museums with similar portraits (with the background in silk fabric) and if they have had a conservation treatments and dyes identifications?
