I'm pleased to announce that the J. Paul Getty Trust Report 2016
<http://www.getty.edu/about/governance/trustreport/> is now available online.

This report highlights the activities of all four of the Getty programs -- the
J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Research Institute (GRI), the Getty
Conservation Institute (GCI), and the Getty Foundation -- in Los Angeles and
around the world, as well as a summary of financial information for the Getty's
2016 fiscal year.

This year the Trust Report focuses on cultural heritage at risk. We're proud
to include "Targeting History," an original essay by Richard Haass, president
of the Council on Foreign Relations, along with reports from each of the Getty
programs about the work they are doing to protect, study and share the world's
cultural heritage.

This was a year of notable acquisitions, including Danae and the Shower of
Gold, by Orazio Gentileschi at the Museum, and the GRI's acquisition of
historic photos of Palmyra, which recently suffered considerable damage at the
hands of ISIS. Notable exhibitions included Power and Pathos: Bronze Sculpture
of the Hellenistic World at the Museum, and the GCI and GRI collaboration Cave
Temple of Dunhuang: Buddhist Art on China's Silk Road.

The Foundation also announced new grants for the upcoming Pacific Standard
Time: LA/LA, which will open this September.

As always, it has been a pleasure working with you, and we look forward to
working with you during what will be an exciting year ahead.
