NEDCC Hosts Russian Photograph Conservator for 6-Week Internship

The Northeast Document Conservation Center has been awarded a grant from the
Trust for Mutual Understanding to support a 6-week Advanced Photograph
Conservation Internship. The 2017 intern will be Anna Aseeva, a photograph
conservator at the ROSPHOTO State Russian Museum and Exhibition Centre in Saint
Petersburg, Russia. ROSPHOTO is the principal institution to which Russian
museums go for advice, assistance, and training on researching, handling, and
preserving photograph collections. ROSPHOTO cares for its own photograph
collection, but also conserves collections belonging to other museums and
archives, which lack the in-house expertise to treat photographs. Like NEDCC,
ROSPHOTO also provides workshops for museum archivists and conservators.

Anna will be the seventh advanced intern participating in the program, and the
Center has hosted professionals from Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Hungary, and
Poland. More information on the program's history:
