The University of Arizona's Center for Creative Photography is seeking a dynamic individual as the Arthur J. Bell Senior Photograph Conservator.
The successful candidate is expected to advance the vision and mission of the Center's internationally-recognized collections, scholarship, and outreach programs by a). overseeing a comprehensive preservation program to ensure the longevity of Center's photographic collections; b). managing the Arthur J. Bell Endowment along with securing and managing external funding in support of preservation program objectives and projects; c). actively contributing to new scholarship on photographic materials, and conservation science; and d). engaging with students and the public through outreach programs that enhances Center's visibility and reinforces the University of Arizona's position as an arts/culture destination. Established in 1975, the Center for Creative Photography is the premiere research collection of American photographic fine art and archives, promoting creative inquiry, dialogue, and appreciation of photography's enduring cultural influence. The Center's collections include some of the most recognizable names in 20th century North American photography: Ansel Adams, Wynn Bullock, Harry Callahan, Aaron Siskind, Frederick Sommer, W.
