A bookbinder colleague has asked for help finding a polyester other than Melinex suitable for archival pockets to make portfolios. He's having trouble with it scratching and gathering dust faster than his client likes. He found Secol online and it seems to suit his needs better but those of us he's asked haven't used their polyester before. I'd be concerned that if it resists scratching and dust more, it's due to some kind of coating that could be a problem. Does anyone know of any testing done on it or have you used it with good results?
